For The Groom
What to do before saying “I do”
Ah, your wedding day. That mind-boggling day is coming where you'll stand in front of everyone that matters to you and declare your undying love and commitment to your bride. I concede this is typically a day set aside for the bride. But listen up groom: You are a part of this too. Contrary to popular belief, 50% of this is about you. If not, why is half the church reserved for your family?
It’s important that you start your marriage off right. Your bride is putting a lot of work into making sure everything is absolutely perfect. If she's like most brides, she will spend an outrageous amount of time getting her hair, nails, and feet done. She will buy sexy underwear for the night. Every intricate detail has been thought out. You owe it to her to give her the same respect.

Here are a few things you should do to keep up your end of the deal.
Join the Gym
This should be done at least 6 months before your wedding. Get in shape. Give her, and the wedding attendees, something impressive to look at. (Not to mention, that extra stamina and endurance will....ahem...pay off later!)
Get a manicure
I know you’re a stud, but trust me, women love a well groomed man, and they DO look at your nails. While you’re at it get a pedicure as well.
Get a shave and a haircut
Not your garden variety bare minimum cut. Get the works. Your wedding pictures will be looked at for 50 years (maybe more!). Make sure you look presentable.
Get trimmed
I’m not talking about your hair on your head. That’s right! Trim it up down there. Women wouldn’t get bikini waxes if they thought that extra hair was attractive.
Get your teeth whitened
Again, 50 years of looking at the same pictures is a long time to see yellow teeth.
Buy your tuxedo
You want your tux to fit you properly, and not just “close enough.” This is the most important day of your life -- your clothing should fit. Get it completely tailored: suit, shirt, everything. A poorly fit suit will undermine everything else you’ve done.
This is by no means the complete list. There are dozens of additional things that you can do. But these things will ensure that you look your best when you walk down the aisle.
Congratulations, and have a wonderful life with your new family. God Bless.
